College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Bangalore was instituted in the
year 1992 by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust, Bangalore. It is approved
by
Government of Karnataka.
The dental college is belongs to Rajiv Gandhi University of
Health Sciences, Karnataka, and Bangalore and recognized by Dental Council of
India, New Delhi and Government of India.
The dental college is located in a region of stunning
scenery of hills, tall trees, blossoming flowers and clean and beautiful
skyline. It is situated 21 kms from Central Business District of Bangalore, in
a quiet and serene campus of sprawling 133 acres called Krishnadevaraya Nagar
on International Airport Road.
The admissions for dental college happen in full swing every
year undeterred by the remoteness of its location from Bangalore city. The fee
structure of college for COMDEK entrants is as per the norms and for CET
entrants it is minimal.

Scope of Dentistry:
Dentistry is a rapidly evolving professional which ensure

results. Advances in technology such as the introduction of novel materials
have increased the scope of today’s dentistry in correcting defects of facial
appearance and its function. Desire to become dentist demands high degree of
technical skill, accurate clinical judgment, intelligence and a logical
inquiring mind. A graduate course in dentistry accomplished these skills in an
aspirant.

- STD & ISD booth, a provision and stationery stores and a
Bakery.
Anti Ragging Committee:
- Anti Ragging committee has been formed to prevent ragging in
the campus. Any ragging would be met with exemplary punishment.
- “ If any incidents of ragging comes to the notice of the
authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his
explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him from the
institutions”.
Hostel facilities:
Hostel facilities are provided separately for boys and girls
within the college campus. Each hostel
is equipped with state of the art facilities like Solar Geysers, fire fighting
equipments, telephone, a well furnished reading room and a recreation centre
housing television set, music system and indoor games.
Transportation:
Kirshnadevaraya Educational Trust runs 18 buses and several
vans for the transportation of staff and students from and to various parts of
Bangalore City.
Career Prospects:
A student after successful completion of the BDS Degree
course can register immediately with the State Dental Council for Practice and
to pursue Higher studies.
