Farooqia Dental
College, Mysore was instituted in the year 1992. It is one of the thirteen
institutions promoted by Rifah-ul-Muslimeen Education Trust (RMET), Mysore with
an object to make its own worthy contribution to its community and also the
general public of Mysore city and other places with well skilled professionals
of dentistry.
The college is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of
Health Sciences, Bangalore. It was granted recognition for bachelor of Dental
Surgery course by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi and the Government of India.
The dental college has a state of art infrastructure with
well equipped Library, modern computing facility, sophisticated equipments and
machines to facilitate learning of various speciality of Dentistry.
The college has its own modernized well equipped Hospital
building in the thickly populated area of Tilak Nagar, in Eidgah grounds. The
college is situated near to the railway station and suburban bus stand. It has
adequate play ground and Hostel for Men and Women.
Eligibility:
The candidates are required to pass Bachelor of Dental
Science (BDS) from a recognized University.
Farooqia Dental College Mysore Admission:
A candidate for
admission to the M.D.S. Course (Master of Dental Surgery) should have a Degree
of B.D.S. from associate degree Indian University recognized by Dental Council
of India. Period of the course is of 3 years, consisting of six tutorial terms.
The educational term for the M.D.S. Course can begin from might of each year.
To be eligible for M.D.S. Course, a candidate ought to have passed B.D.S.
course from a recognized College and will have completed one year’s situation
as last date fastened by the involved authorities every year. Applications for

Criteria for selection:
- Students for MDS course shall be admitted based on performance at the competitive examinations held by Central Government / State Government / Universities or Institutions.

The training that the person undergoes in Post-Graduation is in one of the specialities of dentistry of his/her choice, and forms the basis for any further advancements of the person in his chosen speciality.
- All diagnostic procedures from Radiograhs, R.V.G's (Radio Visuo Graphs), Blood Tests to Histopathology are available under one roof ensuring prompt patient care.
