Babu Banarasi Das College of Dental Sciences, is a part of Babu Banarasi Das University, was established in year 2000 by Babu Banarasi Das Educational Society under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta, M.P. (Rajya Sabha) & Ex. Union Minister of State of steel, Governemnt of India, with a vision to facilitate quality Dental health care & Education of global standards. The commitment, dedication & vision of Dr. Akhilesh Das, Hon’ble chairman, Dr. Alka Das, Hon’ble Vice-Chairperson, Dr. V.P. Sinha, Secretary of the society and Chief Group Advisor Mr. S.K. Agarwal have shaped BBDCODS into a premier Dental College of North India.

Achievements
We at Babu Banarasi Das Dental College believe in a philosophy of overall development of our students. A number of CDE programs and cultural events are being regularly organized by the college. Our faculty has been felicitated in various events and their research publications have been admired worldwide. Our students have also won awards in various intercollege cultural and sports events organized in the past.

Research
Research is an integral part of the modern day Dentistry. We promote research not only among post graduate (MDS) students, which is part of their curriculum, but also among our undergraduates (BDS). Presently there are over 20 ongoing projects in various Departments in our college. Our Faculty Members have made contributions in National and International textbooks, chapters, presentations and publications. Few of our staffs are members of editorial board of a number of National and International Journals and are actively involved as visiting faculties in international universities. Periodically, our students are benefited by guest lectures by International faculties.
