Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences MDS Admission 2013
Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences MDS Admission 2013 Through Management Quota
Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences or (C.I.D.S) is an educational facility for the teaching of dentistry located in the picturesque hills of Coorg in southern India. Excellence is a way of life for the institute - we believe in a total student-centric approach - and by restricting our intake we are able to concentrate our expertise and guidance upon the development of the student.
We have places for 40 under-graduates and 3 post-graduates in each specialty.
The systematic method followed at CIDS has enabled our students to achieve consistently excellent academic performance. Our pass percentage ranges between an enviable 92 and 98 per cent, which is the highest among the colleges in the State.
Strengthening our resolve to have a small batch of only 40 students, the first batch did us proud by securing the highest pass percentage and first classes in Karnataka State in their first year examinations. Our students also scored a 10 per cent of the total distinctions in the examination.
The Institute is affiliated to the 230 bed Government Hospital at Virajpet and the 60 bed Rural India Health Project (RIHP) at Ammathi. The Institute is managed by the Coorg Dental and Medical Sciences Trust, a body of professional doctors.
A unique feature of the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences is the personal attention and care taken by the Trustees. Each member of the Managing Committee is involved in areas of construction, maintenance and care of facilities provided, landscaping and gardening, student welfare and maintenance of hygiene in the food provided to the staff and students. They interact directly with the students once a week and ensure that all their needs are met.
At CIDS special care is taken to ensure that students pass out of its portals not only as excellent dentists but also as ideal citizens of the world.
Located picturesquely atop a hill commanding a panoramic view of fields and valleys in Virajpet town, the Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences was set up in September 1999.
