The Government Dental
College Bangalore, was the first dental college in Karnataka established in
1958. The College is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
and recognized by Dental Council of India. It offers five years of
undergraduate degree level Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course along with Master
of Dental Surgery (MDS) in various specializations. The College provides good
infrastructure facilities to its students. College is housed in a well-planned
building situated in the heart of the Bangalore City surrounded by premier
medical institutes of the state.
Eligibility Criteria
B.D.S. Program
- Candidate should have passed two year pre university examination or HSC (10 + 2 pattern) or equivalent educational qualification with physics, chemistry, biology and English from any recognized school / board.
- Candidate should have attained 17 years at the time of admission.
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
M.D.S. Program
A candidate must hold the degree of Bachelor of Dental
Surgery of any University recognised by the Dental Council of India and must
have completed a minimum of one year as Clinical Assistant / Sr.House Surgeon /
Tutor / Registrar / Intern in a recognised dental institution.
