SJM Dental College
was founded in the year 1986. It is run by charitable institution Sri Jagadguru
Murugharajendra Brihanmatha.
It is recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI),
New Delhi and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences
(RGUHS), Bangalore. The college offers Undergraduate BDS degree program.
The present seer Sri Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru is the President of this Vidyapeetha under the spiritual and administrative guidance of whom about 150 institutions are running today.

Sri Jagadguru Murugharajendra Vidyapeetha is an apex body
established under the Societies Act to organise and manage educational and

Eligibility at SJM Dental College
- In order to be eligible to the BDS course a candidate should have passed the two year Pre – University examination or 10+2 years of schooling with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and English as language subject and he/she must have secured minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. In respect of candidate belonging to SC/ST or category – 1 this percentage shall be 40% instead of 50%.
- In Case of admission on the basis of competitive entrance examination in addition to above, the candidate must have come in the merit list by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the competitive examination. In case of SC/ST or category – 1 It is 40% aggregate instead of 50% as stated above.
- The candidate shall have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission.
Admission Procedure at SJM Dental College
The application forms for the desired course will be issued
in the college itself and the candidate can obtained it by paying DD of the
specified amount and submitting all the documents required by the college.
