Murugharajendra Vidyapeetha Dental College was founded in the year 1986.
This college is recognized by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi and Rajiv
Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
The dental college is located in the historical city of
Chitradurga (with world famous Yelu Suthina Kote meaning a fort with seven
circular walls) is one of the oldest Dental Colleges of the country and to its
credit thousands of dental graduates has passed out of the institution. The
city of Chitradurga is well connected by National highways & is just 200 km
from the state capital, Bengalore.

SJM Dental College is twenty nine years young, active and
lustrous educational institute under SJM vidyapeetha started in the year 1964
by His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Mallikarjua Murugharajendra Mahaswamiji, the
then pontiff of Srimath. The present seer Sri Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru is
the President of this Vidyapeetha under whose spiritual and administrative
guidance about 150 institutions are running today.
The Dental College and Hospital is developed as per the
norms of the Dental Council of India, New Delhi and offers Bachelor of Dental
Surgery (BDS) course. The college has an intake of 60 students per academic
year and has got state of the art infrastructure with a team of dedicated and
excellent faculty members with a vast teaching experience in their respective
fields.
