College of Dental
Sciences, Davangere was established in 1991. The College of Dental Sciences
is one of the two premier dental colleges under the umbrella of Bapuji
Educational Association. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University
of Health and Sciences, (RGUHS), Karnataka and is recognized by Dental Council
of India (DCI). The college is operated and managed by Bapuji Educational
Association, which was formed in 1958. College of Dental Science Karnataka
provides education in the field of dentistry, at multiple levels. The college
has the distinction of starting the first evidence- based dentistry center in
India.

Bachelor of Dental
Surgery(BDS)
BDS- Stands for Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Typically, BDS
is a 5 year course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2)
with science and 50% marks. Dental Surgery handles all problems and diseases
associated with gums, teeth and mouth as well as soft and hard tissues of oral
cavity.
